This AHA time efficient course (2-4 hours) is designed to meet the needs of lay rescuers who are learning CPR to protect family, friends and co-workers. This course prepares the lay rescuer to perform CPR and relieve FBAO (foreign body air way obstruction), mouth to mouth (mouth to nose for infants) as the primary means of ventilation and the use of barrier devices. Video instruction and lots of hands on practice!

This course is taught in two parts: Adult CPR and Child and Infant CPR. Each part can be taught separately.
Part 1: Adult CPR
Part 2: Child and Infant

Participants are not required to pass a written evaluation. This course does not have a completion card. A participation card is included with the training manual.

Heartsaver CPR
Child and Infant

This course prepares the lay rescuer to perform Child CPR and Infant CPR and relieve FBAO (foreign body air way obstruction) conscious and unconscious, mouth to mouth (mouth to nose for infants) as the primary means of ventilation and the use of barrier devices. Video instruction and lots of hands on practice! This is a good class for parents, daycare providers and other individuals with specific needs for caring for children.

Successful participants are issued a course completion card.
Heartsaver CPR

This course prepares the lay responders who are serving as rescuers as part of their job responsibility and are not required to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This could include police, lifeguards, flight attendants, security personnel, office workers and the general public.

This AHA course prepares the rescuers on Heartsaver Adult, Child and Infant CPR and relieve FBAO (foreign body air way obstruction), mouth to mouth (mouth to nose for infants) as the primary means of ventilation and the use of barrier devices. Video instruction and lots of hands on practice!

Successful participants are issued a course completion card.

This course prepares the lay rescuer to perform Adult CPR with the use of an AED, how to relieve FBAO, mouth to mouth as the primary mean of ventilation and the use of barrier devices.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable piece of equipment that is used to shock the heart into a normal rhythm. Students learn how to use AED and CPR together to help save more lives. AED can be found in airports, concert arenas and private businesses. Video instruction and lots of hands on practice!

Successful participants are issued a course completion card.

FIRST AID

First Aid

This course is to familiarize the citizen responder to the principles of first aid. "Assess, Alert, Attend" 1. Assess the scene. 2. Alert the Emergency Medical System. 3. Attend to the victim. Learn to recognize an illness or injury and be able to provide appropriate care to the victim. This course is taught with video and lots of hands on practice including bandaging and wound stabilization, bleeding control and how to treat for shock.
